Shawn Patrick McGrew

Shawn Patrick McGrew born in Edmonds Washington on August 21st 1989. Son of Patrick James McGrew and Jenie Allison McGrew. Brother of Megan Dolores McGrew. Shawn was raised in Mukilteo Washington and Graduated from Kamiak High School. Shawn was an avid fan of the Seattle Mariners, Seattle Seahawks and the Price is Right. Shawn lived with cerebral palsy, a condition resulting with quadriplegia. Despite his obstacles Shawn lived a full life where he experienced skiing, roller coasters, concerts and attendance of The Price is Right. Shawn was a very special man with a deep zest for connection with those he adored. Shawn loved his friends, teachers, caregivers and family. Shawn was empathetic by nature and has a borderline supernatural ability to remember details, significant dates and birthdays involving the people he cared for. Shawn passed away on January 25th, 2026 at Providence Hospital in the presence of his father, mother, and sister. His radiant smile and precious spirit will be dearly missed. A summer party will be held on his birthday at the McGrew Residence to celebrate his life this August.
