Patrick Thomas Baker, 70, of Everett, Washington passed away on November 14, 2024 at Providence Medical Center following a cardiac event. Pat, as he was known by his friends and loved ones, was born in Butte, Montana on September 2, 1954. He was the oldest of six children and was predominantly raised by his mother, Kathleen O’Keefe. Pat’s family moved to Bellevue, Washington when he was just 2 years old and he has called the Pacific Northwest home ever since. He attended Sammamish High School where he tried many sports, but became most passionate about music. With his family living on the budget of a single mother, Pat taught himself how to play guitar, piano, drums, and started singing. He would eventually go on to attend the University of Washington and receive a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering, the first in his family to receive a college degree. He worked his way up in the Boeing Corporation which would relocate him to Everett, Washington and upon his death was still working part-time for the company after at least one attempt at retirement. Altogether, he worked at Boeing for over 40 years. While his professional life was dedicated to the safety of aerospace, his free time was predominantly spent on his bigger passion of music. Pat was in multiple bands, performed weddings and other gigs, and even recorded a few tracks on which he sang and played every instrument. His other passions included cheering on his favorite Seattle sports teams, playing golf, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his loved ones, especially his wife. Pat and Phannarai, known as “Ae”, married in 2004 and were fortunate to spend 20 years together caring for each other, traveling, and entertaining in their beautiful home. Pat also leaves behind a daughter, Mackenzie Ann (Justin) Neally and three grandchildren: Baker Thomas (5), Ezekiel Keith (3) and Daisy Ann (2). A celebration of life will be held for Pat at Hotel Indigo in Everett on December 7 from 2pm-5pm. While Pat was known for his ornery behavior and love for laughter and storytelling, he is also remembered as a generous and kind person who always sought to make the world a better place and to be a good provider to his family. His generosity has inspired three places where you can donate in his legacy in lieu of flowers:
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation – Pat’s wife is a breast cancer survivor.
Spinal Bifida Association of the Carolinas – Pat’s granddaughter was born with Spina Bifida.
Operation Smile – One of Pat’s treasured charities to support.
