Nadine Louise Mahlum (née Schlegel), born on October 18, 1940, in Albany, Oregon, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026, in Seattle, Washington. She was 85 years old. Nadine is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 48 years, William; her brother, Dwayne; her children, Susan (Eric), Naomi, David (Carrie) and Traci (Ponch). She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Charlie (Amanda), Kyle (Morelia), Trevor, Abbey, David, Mataya, and Marcello. Nadine was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy. She leaves behind Lola as well, who held a special place in her heart. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she cherished every moment spent together. Nadine found immense joy in the simple yet meaningful pleasures of life. She loved the quiet patience of fishing at sunrise and embraced the thrill of hunting season surrounded by nature's beauty. Her garden flourished under her care as she found peace in its rhythm and growth. Nadine also had a passion for cruising—whether along open highways or on the water—relishing the freedom and adventure that came with each journey. Through these pursuits, she created countless memories filled with laughter and warmth alongside family and friends. Nadine's legacy is one of love for family, appreciation for nature's beauty, and a life well-lived through cherished moments. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
