Leona Marie Anderson

Leona Marie (Jelinek)Anderson passed away February 8th, 2026, after a short battle with Colon cancer. Leona was born on June 10, 1937, in Pisek North Dakota to parents Frank Jelinek and Mary (Greicar) Jelinek. She was raised farming with her siblings Raymond, Richard, Daniel, Irene, and Clementine.

On July 26th, 1955, Leona married husband of 50 years Darrell Anderson. Soon after they relocated to the greater Seattle, Washington area. While raising and caring for her family Leona worked in the food service industry for Seattle Community College and Boeing Company. Leona enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family, which was always her priority. In the weeks leading up to her passing she was surrounded by her loving family which was her most prized possession.

Leona was a loving, caring woman always willing to help anyone in need.

Leona is survived by her daughter, Marlys (Anderson) Bowles (Bob) son, Darren Anderson (Jean) and son, David Anderson, Grandchildren; Jason Bowles (Kariann), Jody Kooy (JJ), Kayla (Anderson) Sears (Zack), Brittany (Anderson) Lehman (Jacob), Tyler Anderson (Collene) and Tanner Anderson (Ashley) Great grandchildren; Lauren, Hannah, Ryan, Mason and Cooper, Great great grandchildren; Ryer and Nash, Brother in law, Leroy Anderson and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Leona was preceded in death by husband, Darrell, son., Terry and Larry; Arrangements are under the care of Solie Funerl Home, Everett WA. Service will be held at Holyrood Cemetery, date to be determined
