Gerri Lynn Reno

Our sweet sister, Gerri Lynn Reno, age 68, whose pure heart and great sense of humor touched everyone she met, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026.

Born on May 20, 1958, in Seattle, Washington, to Ray and Jane Reno, Gerri was a much-loved sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Despite living with some physical and intellectual disabilities, her pure spirit, infectious laughter, and love for hugs illuminated the lives of those around her.

Gerri’s journey was filled with challenges, but her illness never defined her memory or diminished the immense love we have for her. She adored the simple pleasures in life—especially sweets and her favorite Coca-Cola, as well as playing with her dollhouse and engaging in crafts like knitting and crocheting. Knowing her brought joy to our hearts and to all who had the pleasure of sharing moments with her.

Through her life, Gerri taught us more about love, patience, and happiness than we ever taught her. Her ability to find joy in the little things inspired everyone who knew her. She is survived by her loving sisters, Cecelia and Cheryl, her brother Jon, and is preceded in death by her father Ray and mother Jane.

A private family service will be held in her honor.

May we carry forward her legacy of love and joy, cherishing the little moments just as she did. Gerri will be deeply missed, but forever remembered in our hearts.
