Frances Elizabeth Duncan, 99, passed in her sleep at the Cline AFH in Everett, WA. She was born September 28, 1925 on the family farm in Wolsey, S.D. to Emanuel and Martha Neuharth. Graduated from Yale High School and teacher college. Then taught 4 years in a South Dakota one room school house. She met her future husband at a dance hall in 1947. Oscar and Frances married November 6, 1949 in Huron, SD. Their honeymoon was a trip out to Everett, WA where they made their home on Tyee Road. Frances had a close relationship with Jesus. Her favorite verse was Psalms 37:4. Delight thyself in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. She taught Sunday school, enjoyed gardening, caring for chickens, baking and sewing. She loved raising her 4 children. She is survived by her children, daughter Brenda Thorsen of Mukilteo, WA, daughter Donna (Joe) Weatherton of Bumpass, VA, son Kenneth (Sue) Duncan of Granite Falls, WA; her grandchildren: Danny (Natalie) Duncan, Joseph Duncan, Krista Bliele, Jodi (Dave) Kowalczyk, Jeff (Carolyn) Bliele, Hope (Jeremy) Stocker, Andrew (Katie) Weatherton, Bjorn (Emily) Thorsen, Karin (Seth) Reisinger, and Mackenzie Duncan. Great grandchildren: Ezra, Weslee, Kendall, Shyanne, Noah, Keira, James, Julia, Jack, Tommy, Parker, Logan and Peter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar G Duncan, sisters Gladys Leek, Norma Wenz, brother Veronon Neuharth, son-in-law Stephen Thorsen and son Dennis Duncan. A Celebration of Life will be this fall around the time Frances would have turned 100. Details to follow.
