It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Doug Kristiansen on June 17, 2025, at the age of 80 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Erie, PA to Harry and Maxine Kristiansen on September 30, 1944, later moving to Everett, Washington when he was a year old.
Doug graduated from Everett High in 1963 and entered the Navy serving on the USS Coral Sea. He was the owner/operator of Pacific State Trucking for 48 years, and served as President of the Trucking Association in 1987.
Doug will be remembered for his love of gardening, crabbing, cooking, reading and a drinky-poo in one hand and a ciggy-pop in the other. Also, his never ending “Who wrote” questions. He was known for his playful sense of humor, his ability to strike up a conversation with people of all ages and walks of life, and his profound imaginative storytelling. He and his partner of 25 years, Gloria, enjoyed their vacations to Cancun, Hawaii, and Alaska- along with many road trips. Boating and RVing filled their lives.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Lonnie Lineman.
Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life, Gloria Gay; his son Ryan (Siri) Kristiansen, and bonus daughters Michelle (Michael) Walsh and Chrissi (Cory) Dow; grandchildren Sonja Kristiansen, Grace and Ryan Walsh, and Cole Dow; sister Sharon (Bob) Bennett and his loving nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his stepdaughter from his previous marriage, Tiffany (Carl) Ledbetter and family.
Lucky in friendship, Doug also leaves behind many special long-time friends, neighborhood friends, as well as friends from The Club 170 and Everett Eagles.
A special thanks to Providence Hospice, especially Nurse Debbie for all her care and support. Also, a special thanks to the Pride Family (Dylan and Angela) for their always present help, love, and support.
The Memorial will be announced at a later date.
