Eric Eugene Evans was born August 20, 1956 to parents Everett and Rosie Evans, to whom both preceded him in death. Eric grew up in Los Angeles, CA. He attended Normandie Avenue Elementary, John Muir Junior High and Manuel Arts High where he graduated and received his high school diploma in 1974.
After high school, he Eric enlisted in the Navy and was stationed in Seattle, WA where he served four years and was honorably discharged.
After his time in the military Eric made the decision not to return to his home in Los Angeles after leaving the Navy, but opted to make his home in Everett, Washington.
Eric was employed with Boeing Company for 40 plus years, to which he loved his position as Test Operator. Eric was well loved by the staff and coworkers.
Eric met Camille Hooks in 1980, and the two married on April 30, 1988. Eric loved playing Pinochle with friends and going to the casino.
Eric's health began to decline in 2022, Eric lived his life the way he wanted to, enjoying all that it offered him. On February 16, 2024 Eric gained his wings.
Eric leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Camille Evans, two brothers Craig Tidwell (NC) and Kevin Evans (TX), one sister Brenda Holder (L.A., CA); his special friend and mentor Mr. Moore (WA), and a host of nieces nephews, cousins, and friends.
The Evans Family would like to thank his Boeing/Everett family for their care and friendship throughout Eric's life. A graveside will take place at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA, a place where our heroes rest, on May 3, 2024, at 2pm.
