Carol Alzora Schaut

In loving memory of our beloved mother Carol Alzora Schaut who went home to the lord Jesus on February 1, 2022. Carol was born in Baker, Montana to Earl J and Vera A Ketchum on August 8, 1924. She graduated from Baker High School in 1942 and attended Holy Rosary Nursing School from 1942 to 1945 in Miles City, MT. It was while she was living in Miles City that she met and married Bernard A Schaut on November 27, 1945. They were married for 61 years until Bernard's (Barney/Red) death in November 2006. Carol is survived by her brother Kenneth Ketchum (Richland WA) and her six children Richard (Jan) Schaut of Reedsport OR; Stephen (Diane) Schaut of Seattle WA; Darlene (John) Semon of Gilbert AZ; Gregory Schaut of Shelton WA; Margaret (Richard) Kerns of Sequim WA; and David (Nancy) Schaut of Marysville WA and numerous grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the matriarch of the family and will be missed but we know that she is in a much better place. We were blessed to have her for our mother.
